Background

The adidas Nizza appeared in the seventies as a gym shoe and has never once been the shoe of the moment. It simply kept being made, decade after decade, while louder models arrived and left.

Yohji Yamamoto picked that one. Not the icon, not the grail — the one nobody argues about. He gave it more weight, better materials, and a name that contradicts itself.

Court Formal. Made for a game, dressed for an evening, comfortable being neither.
